The fountains at Versailles

A visit among the fountains and the groves at Versailles during the great waters (les Grandes Eaux)

The fountains are put in water regularly during a show called the High waters (Grandes Eaux). The rest of the time the fountains don't work because the park must save water. The fountains work mainly on weekends during the good season (see the official website for specific dates). Some fountains only work by cycles of 10 minutes.

There is an admission fee for the fountain (8.5 euros) . Access to the Grand Canal is always free.

If you want you can always visit the park free of charge another day but you'll miss the spectacle of these magnificent water games.
