The walk takes place in Paris in the 16th district on the old railway from the little belt.

The little belt (la petite ceinture in French) was a railway around Paris. It has been abandoned, the last trains ran until 1985 and the railway were removed in 1993. The city of Paris has decided to rehabilitate some parts of this line and open it to the public. There are other sections of the little belt open to the public: green walk (promenade plantée) and little belt in the 15th.

The entrance of the small belt (Petite Ceinture in French) of the 16th district is located in the garden of the Ranelagh. The nearest metro station is "La Muette". On the site you can see the restaurant "La Gare" which is the former railway station of the little belt, the trail entrance is behind the restaurant.
