The Observatory and Meudon forest

A superb walk in the suburbs of Paris to discover the Meudon Observatory.

You have to take the train from Paris (Montparnasse) to Meudon then walk 20 minutes in the city to go to the Observatory of Meudon. The last mile before reaching the Observatory is steep but worth the effort because you'll have a superb view of the capital city. You can walk in the park of the Observatory, you can also join the Meudon forest a little further if you wish to make a slightly longer walk. It is the ideal ride for a Sunday, do not hesitate to discover the Meudon Observatory.

If you walk at the end of the park you will see a curiosity : an airship hangar! In 1884 an airship made the first flight in circuit in the world above the forest of Meudon. You can’t visit it (may be in 2020!)
