Walk to Autun, small town in the center of Burgundy, at the gates of the Morvan. Founded by the Romans, the city was called Augustodunum (the fortress of Augustus). Remains from the Roman period along the way. Important centre of pilgrimage in the middle ages, Autun is home to a medieval city around the Saint-Lazare Cathedral.
