Houlgate and the cliff of black cows

A short walk from the Houlgate Beach to the cliffs of the black cows.

A nice walk to discover the town of Houlgate located between Deauville and Cabourg. After a walk along the beach you go up to get a nice view of the region. The hike is short (1 hour), but you have to climb many steps to reach the top of the cliff.

The cliff of black cows (falaise des vaches noires in French) owes its name to the rocks that fall from the cliff. These are then covered with algae during tide and look like black cows.
