The rise of the Solutré rock

The Solutré rock is a famous Rocky Escarpment located in South Burgundy.

The Solutré rock is visible from afar because she disclose all the plain. You can't miss it. The hike begins in the parking lot to climb to the top of the rock of Solutré. The ascent is done by the less steep part and takes 1/2 hour. The path is well maintained at the start then the climb becomes more severe.

The Solutré site was occupied by humans for more than 55,000 years. Excavations have revealed to exhume hundreds of bones of animals at the foot of the rock.
